April 2 & 10: 10:00a.m. 'The Chosen' viewing & discussion Season 1

This is specifically for those who can't make evening meetings: its a time to build relationships while watching a popular biblical series, and open our Bibles and talk about what we are seeing. Our final meeting is April 10th, the 8th and final episode of Season 1 of 'The Chosen', and we'll have a breakfast brunch & talk about 'next' plans.

march 30: lenten lunch @ United Methodist: Maureen roller speaking

april 2: Concert at United Methodist church 3:00p.m.

Make Easter special by taking time to contemplate Jesus: His gift, the price He paid, and God's plan. One way to do this is to attend a concert given at both the United Methodist church (3pm April 2) and St. John's Lutheran church (7pm April 5). This is the cantata that Pastor Jim and Pastor Brook join and support because its fun and we are always happy at how God helps us all do. In these grey months of winter and early spring, cantata practice is a life-giving, joy-filled time for all ages. The concerts are good. So, come hear. And consider joining. Don't think you sing all that great? Come find out with us, no one goes 'on trial'... we all work together. In particular we need tenors and basses, but everyone is wanted.

april 5: we get to serve at community table 11:30a.m.

may 19, 20: ACTS 2 JOURNEY FIRST WEEKEND FRIDAY 6-9PM, SATURDAY 9-4

Taken from the Acts 2 Journey website, https://acts2journey.com/ : "During the Acts 2 Journey Cohort, Vision Teams from each church work together to create a three-year strategic plan based on the five functions of a Spirit-empowered church described in Acts 2:42-47. 100% of your church's growth potential is found in people who are there yet. When a congregation has lost the vision that once drove it forward, a natural “inward focus” quickly fills the gap. Our preferences, our favorite ways, and the ministries that meet our own family’s needs become our priorities, and we are usually unaware that our church’s rate of decline has begun to accelerate. That’s why the Acts 2 Journey experience gives high priority to “lifting our eyes” and “moving beyond our walls” in pursuit of Christ’s mission. Our research has clearly demonstrated a direct correlation between a local church’s efforts of community engagement and the overall health of that congregation. Every step outward brings a corresponding step toward greater overall effectiveness. " This 'journey' will take the shape of 4 weekends, each leader committing to all four weekends, to bring about efficacy through the church. To be one of the leaders attending, please speak directly with Pastor Jim. To investigate more, please see: https://acts2journey.com/

may 21: board & leaders meeting, no lunch provided 12:15p.m.

Except for May  through August, we meet Monday nights for prayer. This is a really special time to gather together to share prayer & hearts. Great time to grow in friendship, prayer understanding, and learn to exercise spiritual gifts! Come Monday nights at 7:00p.m. to pray until 8:00p.m.. Our 'fall kickoff' for prayer nights will be September 26th. This will be in effect every Monday evening except for May  through August.  If this will be your first time attending, please call Chaplain Terry at 308-760-2668 to verify the prayer night is occurring, because occasionally these get cancelled for various reasons.

Monday nights is when worship team gathers to practice & learn new songs. This is mandatory, in order to play on the following Sunday. 6:30p.m.-8:00p.m. Contact Francisco Jacobo. Monday nights is also an open invitation to all to join in prayer, 7:00p.m. This is a great time to practice spiritual gifts, and to be trained.

Tuesdays is when Junior Bible Quiz meets, in Hemingford. Contact Jennifer Howard or Stephanie Mahony.

Wednesday nights women gather to learn, laugh,   share & pray... spontaneously often bringing food to share, 6:30 p.m.  Sam Gilmore leads this growing group of ladies.

Thursday nights our youth group 'has the run of the building' between 5:30p.m. and 9:00p.m. Jennifer Jacobo is our staff youth pastor.

Sunday mornings are a special and quiet, intimate time to gather together, for meditative prayer, then group prayer. 8:30a.m.-9:00a.m.
