 UPCOMING EVENTS:

Men's ministry has changed their venue to diverse times together in various settings. Contact Pastor Jim for details. The September event was men at a bonfire/grill night out at Desjardin's. The October men's event was at the Light4theLost Steak dinner on October 20th, to gather offerings for Light4theLost missions projects, which last year were in some of the poorest of nations. Our November time did not occur as our county entered Covid-Red. In January 2021 we regrouped, thinking what times work best in this 'three shift town'. The group of men who gathered to plan for upcoming times together in February had over 40 creative ideas, which we men will be voting on and implementing to do with our younger men this next year. You're definitely going to be interested in being part of these growing relationships with other men.  Talk to Pastor Jim and bring your idea that you personally are willing to back.  You in? GOOD!!
Call 308-760-7355 or speak to Pastor Jim in person.

The group of men planning together have a goal: "Let's be friends. Let's be a 'band of brothers'.

WHO IS A 360MAN? The following is directly from the website: https://360man.ag.org/About-360Man/Who-is-a-360Man  and we encourage you to link directly there. Meanwhile, check out just a little from this awesome site:
"A 360Man is dedicated to living out the full-circle (360 degree) faith described in Acts 2:42-47.
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe[a] came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.”

A 360Man is no longer willing to sit by and watch true biblical manhood and masculinity come under assault.
A 360Man desires fellowship and friendship with other men.
A 360Man accepts the role of priest in his home, his church, and his workplace.
A 360Man commits to ongoing discipleship, and then invests in helping other men grow closer to Christ.
A 360Man supports his pastor, is active in his church, and helps his family and others to do so as well.
A 360Man takes part in worldwide evangelism, because reaching the world is God’s mission—and a man of God wants to accomplish God’s mission!

WHY 360MAN?
We believe the spiritual resource with the greatest unlocked potential in America is MEN!
Husbands, fathers, sons, and even grandfathers possess unique qualities and giftings that God wants to use to reach and restore America. But those men have got to get engaged. Now.
The good news is this: everywhere we look in America, Christian men are searching for connection. Men are eager to get into the spiritual battle for America, but they’re being underserved.
Churches almost always have something for women, kids, and youth—but what about the men? It’s estimated that only 10% of evangelical churches have a men’s ministry. That’s not enough. Not even close!
Research and experience show us that when the husband or father in a family gets involved in church, the rest of the family follows suite a greater percentage of the time (as opposed to when the wife, mother or children initiate church involvement.
There’s NO denying it. Men are absolutely critical to spiritual development in the family! But sadly, too many men are sitting on the sidelines. Popular culture portrays men as selfish, predatorial, detached, weak-willed, abusive, and much more. That’s not what God thinks about men! That’s not what God thinks about YOU!
They want to get with other men to learn about God, the Bible, to grow in their faith, and have opportunities to use those unique giftings and talents God has given them.
The 360Man network is a great starting point!
Are you willing to get in the game and help reshape the state of manhood in America? Are you prepared to join other Christ-following men as we grow in our faith, get closer to God, support each other, and do great things for God?
If the answer to any of these is YES, then please sign up and join the 360Man movement!"

The Bible Instructs Husbands:

1 Peter 3:7 In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.

Ephesians 5:25 For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her.

Ephesians 5:28 In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself.

Colossians 3:19 Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly.

THE BIBLE INSTRUCTS FATHERS:

Luke 1:17 …(The Messiah) will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and he will cause those who are rebellious to accept the wisdom of the godly.”

Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.

Colossians 3:21 Fathers, do not aggravate your children, or they will become discouraged.

Hebrews 12:10 For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness.

Luke 15:20 …while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.

Galatians 4:1-2  …If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had. They have to obey their guardians until they reach whatever age their father set.

1 Timothy 5:1 Never speak harshly to an older man, but appeal to him respectfully as you would to your own father. Talk to younger men as you would to your own brothers.
"Men need friends- someone to share with, pray with, get counsel from. Men need time to be alone... hunting/fishing, or maybe coffee and to grab a bite together. Let's not neglect our need for each other in our lives."
-Samantha Jones

Some scriptures on Biblical roles for men:

Deut. 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.

Psalm 27:1
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Matt. 10:28 Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

2 Cor. 16:13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.
