Calvary Next is a special ministry to our 6th -8th graders, who we recognize are no longer young children, but rather, have started into the early years of their adulthood, who we call 'young teens'. As young teens, we have a Sunday class for them that meets after worship on Sundays, depending upon the work schedules of those who have volunteered here. (Yes, we could use some more folks committed to the spiritual growth of our young teens.) Our goal is that by the time these young teens 'age out' of 8th grade, they are starting to own responsibility for their own spiritual growth as they become young adults. Since we see our young adults as young adults, they are asked to deliberately be part of the Sunday morning adult service and part of the adult volunteer activities once they begin to model Christ as central in their lives. We also offer Calvary Youth, a youth group open to grades 6-12, that during the school year meets on Thursday evenings, and at specific events during the summer.

Our primary goal is to be available when there is a need in our church & youth family or community. We are keeping our eyes and ears open for opportunities to do outreach! But we are also aware that so many of our own Youth family are needing extra grace and love. Youth Ministry for us looks like genuine connection and being available.
“He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.
When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.”
2 Corinthians 1:4
